Dear friends,
If you live in the Tri-state area and would love to spend some quality time with nature, I strongly recommend visiting Minnewaska State Park near New Paltz.
Even if you are out of shape (like me), there are tons of trails to choose from. And trust me, you can definitely do the longer trail (6-hr) without much problem. :)
My friends and I are going back for our second hike next Saturday.
So what are you waiting for? See you there! :D

Note:
If you are a hiking beginner like me, make sure to bring a big bottle of water and stay hydrated! Bring some yummy dry snacks that are easy to carry and not too heavy (like nuts and jerky). Fruits are fine too (I brought a banana and an apple with me the last time I went). Prepare a small sandwich if you are doing a longer trail just in case you get hungry half way up the trail!
And seriously, wear sneakers or hiking shoes! Who goes hiking with flip flops????
